Police believe Buffalo, Sonora bank robberies are connected

Kentucky State Police detectives believe the same person committed robberies at the Bank of Buffalo last week and The Cecilian Bank branch in Sonora in January.

Police described the suspect as approximately 5-foot-10 with a medium build. A witness told police the suspect had “dirty blonde hair” and facial hair.

He is believed to be driving a black, 1990s-style Chevrolet S10 pick-up truck, according to state police. The truck has lightly tinted windows, a blue sticker on the left side of the back window and a chrome grill with the gold Chevrolet emblem on it.

Police believe the suspect may have been in the area the day before the robbery, according to the release.

Callers may remain anonymous. According to the release, information leading to the arrest and indictment of the suspect may be eligible for a monetary reward.
