Staff Report
ELIZABETHTOWN — Two residents of Lincoln Village Treatment Center fled Thursday night and Kentucky State Police are still looking for one of them.
Steve Pavey, spokesman for Kentucky State Police, said police received a call late Thursday night from the facility, which serves at-risk youth.
One of the children was found early Friday morning, Pavey said.
Cooperation of local residents near the center on New Glendale Road who recognized the children, and realized they were trying to leave the facility, helped them retrieve the child quickly.
The other child still was not located as of Saturday afternoon.
Police did not release the names or additional information about the two juveniles.
