Kentucky State Police Post 4 issued more than 2,000 citations in September and opened more than 60 criminal cases.
According to a news release, the Post 4 staff logged more than 9,972 hours and issued a total of 2,191 citations during September.
Those included citing 980 drivers for speeding, 191 for failing to wear a seatbelt and five for failing to use a child restraint, according to the post.
Troopers removed 66 impaired drivers from the roadways and investigated 88 wrecks, police said.
