Potted Few and Elizabethtown Garden clubs host annual meeting

The Dogwood District Garden Clubs met recently at Severns Valley Baptist Church with hostesses from Elizabethtown and Fort Knox Potted Few Garden clubs. The annual meeting was well attended with nearly 100 district members attending. The Potted Few Club provided the welcome breakfast table with morning beverages and a spread of breakfast delights. 

The gathering offered an informative day and included opportunities for breakfast refreshments, garden related purchases, auctions and door prizes prior to the luncheon. The guest speaker was landscape architect David Lose who detailed how garden clubs can enhance the quality of life in their communities.  

The Dogwood District includes 16 clubs including Audubon Park, Bardstown, Beechmont, Bicentennial in Bowling Green, Bowling Green, Franklin, Elizabethtown, Glasgow, Jeffcoe in Louisville, Jeffersontown, Potted Few, Rambler in Louisville, Scottsville, Two Creeks in Alvaton, Warren East in Smiths Grove and Windy Hills in Louisville. 

The Potted Few won the award for largest percentage of members attending.
