Staff Report RADCLIFF — Powerhouse of Praise and Deliverance Church will hold a fundraiser Saturday to help pay for a new facility near Vine Grove. The Rev. Towanda Hope, pastor of the church, said the new building will include a youth center, group home and assisted living center for veterans and the elderly. The event, which church leaders hope will raise more than $10,000, will feature food, live music, inflatable bouncing booths, dunking booths, pie-eating contests and a tug-of-war contest. The church recently had land annexed at 280 Briggs Lane into the city of Radcliff. The fundraiser will start there at 9 a.m. and continue until dark. “It’s time for the community to come together and make a difference because all of the violence the community has suffered,” Hope said. She said that Radcliff would benefit from a youth center that is both fun and educational. The new church and community center will have a rural fell to it. “It will feel like its own community,” Hope said, “because it’s 40 acres that’s undeveloped.”
