Every time Elizabethtown sophomore catcher Zeke Pinkham crouches behind the plate, he glances over his shoulder. It’s something he’s done since he was playing in the Elizabethtown Area Baseball Commission.
When he did that in the past, Zeke was often looking at his father, Bill, for a sign or a word of encouragement. But this year,it’s completely different: His dad died Dec. 26, 2012, at age 60. Still, Zeke follows the same routine expecting his father to be there.
