PREP BASEBALL: E'town tops LaRue in region semifinals (5/28)

By CHUCK JONES cjones@thenewsenterprise.com LEBANON — The heart of the Elizabethtown lineup pumped life into the Panthers and helped them reach a second consecutive 5th Region Tournament championship game. Juniors Zach Riney and Chase Greenwell and sophomore Jake Goodman, Elizabethtown’s two, three and four hitters, each collected two hits and drove in a run to lift the Panthers to a 5-1 victory over the LaRue County Hawks in the region semifinals at Marion County High School’s Dave Hourigan Field on Tuesday evening.
