Facing Koy Lindsey for the fourth time in the game in the bottom of the seventh inning Friday night, Dale Gumm wanted to stick with what had worked before against the LaRue County sophomore catcher.
The John Hardin junior right-hander threw a first-pitch curveball in the dirt and got Lindsey to swing and miss. LaRue County coach Eric Allen thought his youngster wasn’t being patient enough, but Lindsey wasn’t going to be fooled again.
