Junior Lavonte Wilson’s RBI infield single in the bottom of the eighth inning lifted the John Hardin Bulldogs to a 5-4 win over Breckinridge County on Thursday.
Wilson drove in freshman Garrison McMillen, who was pinch-running for junior Brian Panckey – who gave the Bulldogs (3-2) a 4-2 lead in the third with a three-run double. Junior Dale Gumm doubled for John Hardin, while senior Montaque Pittman and sophomore Dakoda Rothermel each had two singles.
Sophomore Dajour Strong (2-0) got the win in relief. He struck out one, walked one and gave up one hit in two innings.
