By JOSH CLAYWELL jclaywell@thenewsenterprise.com ELIZABETHTOWN — When Tim Mudd and the Elizabethtown Lady Panthers began hosting the Duke’s Summer Shootout five years ago, Mudd didn’t think he’d have quite the response he’s gotten each year. With 43 teams from 24 high schools – including one select team from Louisville – the shootout has grown again this year. “It took off and it’s something we enjoy doing,” Mudd said.
