Fort Knox boys win three straight for first time since 2009

Sophomore post Reauna Cleaver had a double-double and freshman forward Erin Boley just missed one of her own as the No. 9 Elizabethtown Lady Panthers closed the regular season Friday night with a 74-63 win at Muhlenberg County.

Cleaver had 20 points, a game-high 14 rebounds, two blocks and two steals for the Lady Panthers (20-7), who have won 4-of-5. Boley added a game-high 21 points and nine rebounds.

Sophomore guard Darien Huff chipped in with 16 points and two steals, while freshman guard Rachel Warden had six points and a game-high eight assists off the bench.

GIRLS: NORTH HARDIN 60, BARDSTOWN 21. Senior forward Chanel Roberts nearly outscored the host Lady Tigers (5-24) by herself as the Lady Trojans (23-6) won their third straight.

Roberts finished with 19 points, 13 rebounds, three steals and three blocks. Junior guard Domeneque Taft added 13 points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals, while junior guard Kiera Jones had nine points and four assists.

GIRLS: JOHN HARDIN 51, TRIMBLE COUNTY 40. Senior center Michelle Montgomery had a double-double (15 points, 10 rebounds, three blocks) to help the Lady Bulldogs enter the postseason with a four-game winning streak.

Junior guard Tajah Haley added 13 points, seven assists, four rebounds and three steals for the Lady Bulldogs (22-7), who have won 6-of-7.

Freshman guard Tyra Jackson chipped in with nine points and five rebounds and junior wing Nawdya Fletcher had six points and nine rebounds.

GIRLS: LOUISVILLE WHITEFIELD 39, FORT KNOX 25.The visiting Lady Eagles (1-25) were held to just six points in the first 24 minutes by the Lady Wildcats (12-14).

Sophomore wing Taiesha Wynder scored a team-high 10 points for Fort Knox. Sophomore wing Brenna Stephenson added seven points.

Sophomore forward Zane Najdawi added 13 points and seven rebounds. Junior post Dominique Harding chipped in with 11 points and seven rebounds.

Senior guard Dustin Coulter added 10 points and two assists for the Hawks, who have won four straight and 8-of-9. Junior forward Kody Key-Close chipped in with nine points and three rebounds and junior forward Tyler Howell closed in on a double-double with eight points and eight rebounds.

Senior wing Rashaan Allen scored a team-high 19 points for Fort Knox (11-15), which has won three straight games since Feb. 16-20, 2009.

Junior guard Chris Jackson hit three 3-pointers and finished with 17 points for Fort Knox, which will enter the postseason having won 5-of-6.

Junior guard Kyle Gibson also hit three 3s and finished with 13 points, while junior wing Michael Powell had 10 points and junior guard Michael Armstead had seven.
