PREP BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: Lady Bulldogs hold off Holy Cross; Lady Panthers rout Bullitt Central (12/09)

Junior Nawdya Fletcher had 13 points and three assists to help the John Hardin Lady Bulldogs hold off Louisville Holy Cross, 57-48 on Saturday in the Run-N-Shoot Classic at Louisville DuPont Manual.

Junior Zacchea Small added 12 points, nine rebounds, three assists and two steals, while junior Tajah Haley chipped in with 10 points and four assists.

Freshman Tyra Jackson had eight points, four assists and four steals for John Hardin (4-1), which won its third straight.

NORTH HARDIN 62, MADISON SOUTHERN 28. Junior Domeneque Taft had a game-high 20 points, six steals, four assists and four rebounds to lead the host Lady Trojans (4-1) to a rout of Madison Southern in the Cameron Irvin Classic.

Senior Chanel Roberts recorded her fifth straight double-double (14 points, 11 rebounds), while junior Jasmine Wilson scored five points.

North Hardin outscored Madison Southern, 17-0 in the first quarter and led 30-11 at the half en route to its fourth straight win.

ELIZABETHTOWN 61, BULLITT CENTRAL 24. Freshman Erin Boley had 16 points and five rebounds and sophomore Reauna Cleaver had a double-double (10 points, 10 rebounds) as the Lady Panthers (5-0) cruised.

Senior Jessica Duwe chipped in with eight points, two assists, two rebounds and two steals, while senior Madison Lark and sophomore Darien Huff each scored six points.

Nine players scored for Elizabethtown, which led 48-17 at the half.

COLLINS 56, CENTRAL HARDIN 35. The visiting Lady Bruins (1-5) struggled against the Lady Titans, shooting 28 percent (13-of-46) from the field and 0-for-12 from beyond the arc as they lost their fourth straight.

Junior Aislynn Barnes had 12 points and three steals, while sophomore Autumn Jaggers chipped in with five points and five rebounds. Junior Mikaela Worth and sophomore Melanie Humphrey each scored four points.

FRIDAY: MEADE COUNTY 56, BRECKINRIDGE COUNTY 33. Sophomore Morgan Turner scored a game-high 19 points as the Lady Waves cruised past 11th District rival Breckinridge County for their third straight win.

Turner also had six rebounds and one block, while sophomore Addi Lynch added nine points, three steals, two rebounds and one assist.

Sophomore Elissa Youart chipped in with seven points and four rebounds for the Lady Waves (3-2, 2-0 district), who played their second straight game without junior Raley Johnson.

Senior Missy Schneider paced North Hardin Christian with 11 points and 12 rebounds, while sophomore Shontice Taylor scored eight points.

Junior Jasmine Clark-Osborne chipped in with seven points, 12 rebounds and nine steals.

NORTH HARDIN65, LOUISVILLE FERN CREEK 47. Senior Ruben Gosa hit four 3-pointers and finished with 22 points, sparking the host North Hardin Trojans to a 65-47 win over Louisville Fern Creek on Saturday night in the Cameron Irvin Classic.

Gosa also had four assists, three steals and two assists for the Trojans (4-0), while senior Scotty Sterusky chipped in with 18 points, seven rebounds, three steals and two assists.

Senior Tyler Landry added eight points, nine rebounds, two blocks and one steal. Sophomore Tyronn King scored seven points.

friday: meade county 54, campbellsville 39. Senior Bryce Garris scored 20 points and the visiting Green Wave (3-2) outscored the Eagles 33-21 in the second half to pull away for their third straight win.

Garris, who hit three 3-pointers, also had four steals. Junior Charles Mattingly chipped in with eight points, while sophomore John Wilson had seven points and three assists.

Sophomore John Miller added six points and five rebounds.

NORTH HARDIN CHRISTIAN WINS SOMERSET CHRISTIAN TOURNAMENT. The Falcons (10-1) went 3-0, beating host Somerset Christian, Liberty Galilean Christian and Lawrenceburg Fox Creek Christian, to win the Somerset Christian Tournament over the weekend.

n Senior Carlos Jones just missed a triple-double as the Falcons knocked off Somerset Christian, 65-57. Jones had 20 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and four steals, while Chris Kerulis chipped in with 14 points, seven rebounds, two steals and two assists.

Freshman Joshua Jones and junior Michael Dial each scored eight points.

n Carlos Jones and Dial each scored 21 points as the Falcons beat Galilean Christian, 66-58.

Jones also had 15 rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block, while Dial had two assists, two steals and one rebound. Joshua Jones had a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds.

n Carlos Jones had 33 points and 10 rebounds as North Hardin Christian rolled past Fox Creek Christian, 82-65 on Friday.

Kerulis chipped in with 19 points, three steals, two rebounds, one assist and one block, while Joshua Jones and junior Josh Siekman each scored seven.
