Mother Nature has struck for the first time this high school basketball season, forcing the cancellation of three games – Elizabethtown at John Hardin boys and a doubleheader between LaRue County and Barren County.
The break from Tuesday’s action was because the National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning, which was supposed to include freezing rain and accumulating sleet. The storm was expected to bring as much as 1 to 2 inches of freezing rain and sleet locally.
