The lights at the Elizabethtown Sports Park kept playing tricks on Marcus Terrell.
One second, the North Hardin junior thought Grayson County sophomore Bret Crawford was right on his tail. Another, Terrell thought Crawford had fallen off the pace.
After running neck-and-neck for the first 2 miles Saturday night, Terrell began pulling away from Crawford and won the 69-runner Central Kentucky Run for the Gold in 16 minutes, 35.01 seconds. Crawford finished 5 seconds back in 16:41.72.
