As a water boy for the LaRue County Hawks as a youngster, Caleb Canter remembers that sinking feeling when the team’s season came to an end at the expense of the Corbin Redhounds in the playoffs.
From 2000-04, the Hawks and Redhounds had a fierce rivalry in the old Class 2-A. Corbin won four of those games, including a 21-0 win in 2002 that Hawk fans still haven’t forgotten.
Neither has Canter. Now a senior, Canter is pumped for tonight’s 7:30 game with the Redhounds in the first round of the Class 3-A playoffs.
