Junior Tyler Hornback hit a two-run home run and drove in three runs as the visiting LaRue County Hawks won their sixth consecutive game with a 9-1 win in five innings over Marion County on Wednesday. The game was called short due to rain. Senior Alan Vass tripled and drove in a run, while junior Jay Eastridge doubled and scored a run. Senior Curtis Cox singled, scored two runs, stole a base and had an RBI and senior Keaton Gardner singled, scored a run and had two RBIs. Junior Scott Cox (1-1) allowed four hits, two walks and one earned run over five innings. Senior Alysha Brito was 3-for-5 with a double and two runs scored, while freshman Lauren Wade singled three times and scored two runs. Sophomore Emmy Rainey tripled, doubled and scored two runs. Wade (14-12) struck out 12 and held Bethlehem without a hit after the first inning.
