PREP SOFTBALL: Gachassin flirts with no-hitter in Lady Bulldogs' 5-2 win (5/14)

The News-Enterprise John Hardin junior Jenna Gachassin took a no-hitter into the fifth inning and the visiting Lady Bulldogs snapped a four-game losing streak with a 5-2 win over 5th Region rival Hart County on Tuesday. Gachassin (9-16) struck out seven, while allowing four hits and two earned runs in the complete-game effort. Gachassin’s bid for a no-hitter ended with one out in the fifth inning on a Hart County single. Seniors Morgan Dixon and Mary Turner and junior Autumn Chancey each singled, while senior Maegan Carek drove in a run on a sacrifice fly.
