From the outset, Bailey Blair and North Hardin made it very clear they weren’t going to let Meade County junior Ashley Nikolao and freshman Rachel Ayer beat them Tuesday.
Since Nikolao went 3-for-3 with three extra-base hits and Ayer hit a home run when the teams met March 29, Blair issued a combined six intentional walks to the No. 3 and No. 5 hitters in Meade County’s lineup.
For the Lady Waves, that was just fine.
