It was quite the season for North Hardin’s track teams.
The Trojans and Lady Trojans swept the Class 3-A state meets last month, becoming the first 3-A school to pull a double since Lexington Bryan Station in 1982.
Now, accolades just keep rolling in for North Hardin.
Led by sophomore Kianna Gray’s three first-team selections and one second-team honor, North Hardin had an area-best 15 individual event selections and five relay teams chosen to the Kentucky Track & Cross Country Coaches’ Association All-State teams released Sunday.
Gray was named first-team in the 100- and 200-meter dashes and the 100 hurdles and second-team in the 400 dash in 3-A. Senior Chanel Roberts was first-team shot put and second-team high jump, while freshman Harley Domschke was first-team discus. Senior Tamara Jenkins was first-team 100 dash and sophomore Regene Gill was second-team 100 hurdles.
North Hardin’s 800 relay team was second-team.
Meade County senior Maya Luney was named first-team in the shot put.
3-A BOYS. North Hardin junior Dante Johnson and John Hardin senior Eric Avant were first-team in the 300 hurdles, while North Hardin senior Bryce Meers was second-team.
Johnson and Meers were also second-team in the 110 hurdles.
Senior Kirk Oxendine was first-team in the 400 dash and sophomore Antonio Parker was second-team pole vault for North Hardin, which also had a first-team selection in all four relays.
2-A BOYS. Elizabethtown junior James Washington was the Panthers’ only first-team honoree in the 110 hurdles.
Senior Chas Jones was second-team in the long jump and triple jump, while senior Dalton Swank was second-team in the discus.
1-A BOYS. Fort Knox sophomore Ishamael Price was second-team in the long jump.
