Priddy to be ordained into priesthood

On May 26, Archbishop Joseph E. Kurtz, D.D. will ordain Stuart Benjamin Priddyof Elizabethtown to the diocesan priesthood for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Louisville at 11 a.m. at the Cathedral of the Assumption, 433 S. Fifth Street.

Deacon Priddy, 37, is a native of Elizabethtown, and is the son of Judy Roguz. He received a Bachelor of Arts in communications from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Fla.; a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy from the Pontifical College Josephinum in Columbus, Ohio; a master in Catholic philosophical studies and a master of divinity from Saint Meinrad Seminaryin St. Meinrad, Ind. Deacon Priddy is a member of St. James Parish in Elizabethtownand will celebrate his first Mass there at 10 a.m., May 27. He has been assigned as associate pastor of Holy Spirit Parish in Louisville and part-time associate pastor of Immaculate Conception Parish in LaGrange.
