His unbelievable journey is far from over. He was a pitcher out of baseball for two years after a horrific elbow injury before getting a rare second chance to achieve his boyhood dreams. On Tuesday, Steve Delabar begins the season in the Toronto Blue Jays’ bullpen. It’s been an in-credible journey for Delabar, who had given up on his baseball career.
Delabar was an assistant coach at John Hardin and a substitute teacher when he got an opportu-nity to workout for a scout for the Seattle Mariners after seeing amazing results with the throwing program called Velocity.
