Prosecutor, family court judge to serve on child fatality review panel

Two local officials are serving on an independent panel tasked with reviewing child deaths and serious injuries caused by abuse or neglect.

Created by an executive order in July, the Child Fatality and Near Fatality External Review Panel holds its first meeting Tuesday in Frankfort.

Gov. Steve Beshear announced the 17 members of the panel, which includes Hardin County Attorney Jenny Oldham and Hardin Family Court Judge Brent Hall. Hall is a nonvoting member, according to a news release from the governor’s office.
