Publicizing offenders generates child support leads

County Attorney Jenny Oldham said advertisements listing information about parents who owe child support led to three arrests and one full payment.

“It’s worth those four,” she said.

Ads published in The News-Enterprise in late July listed parents’ names, last known addresses and amounts owed. In addition to the arrests and payments, the county attorney’s office has received four or five phone calls with good information on the whereabouts of other offenders, Oldham said.
