A new restaurant is being constructed in the fast developing area near Ky. 313's intersection with South Dixie Boulevard in Radcliff.

A groundbreaking ceremony was held Wednesday afternoon for Colton's Steak House and Grill. The 240-seat restaurant will be on a lot n front of the new Hampton Inn and Suites. Mayor J.J. Duvall, members of Radcliff City Council, Hardin Fiscal Court and other city staff members joined representatives of the restaurant and construction company for the event.

Doug Landers of Glasgow, the franchisee, said he is investing $3 million for land acquisition and construction of the Radcliff restaurant. He also developed the Colton's locations in Glasgow and Campbellsville.

Based in Little Rock, Ark., Colton's has restaurants in five states, including two in Kentucky. The Radcliff store will be the company's 26th location when it opens in August, Landers said.

Its menu features steak, chicken and seafood entrees plus appetizers and dessert offerings.

The Radcliff building is being constructed by M&D Builders of Glasgow.
