Less than four hours before six travelers were killed in a fiery wreck Saturday on the interstate near Sonora, police say a Radcliff man was critically injured in a two-vehicle collision on Ky. 313.

Michael L. Arnold, 37, of Brooks, was driving east at 7:30 a.m. on Ky. 313 when he lost control of his 2001 Ford F-150, according to a news release from Kentucky State Police Post 4.

The truck rotated counter-clockwise, crossed the center line and struck a westbound 2008 Hyundai Accent, which was driven by Franklin C. Dulaney, 36, of Radcliff, police said.

According to state police, the wreck occurred about 1 mile outside Radcliff's city limits.

Dulaney and Arnold were transported to Hardin Memorial Hospital where Arnold was treated for injuries to his torso and legs, according to the release.

Dulaney later was airlifted to University Hospital in Louisville with life-threatening injuries. As of Monday, he was listed in critical but stable condition.

KSP Post 4 Trooper Scott Rafferty is investigating the collision.
