Radcliff police on Friday reported a possible scam after a series of unexplained telephone solicitations offered city residents a deal sounding too good to be true.
According to Radcliff spokesman Bryce Shumate, numerous calls were placed to city residents late last week from someone offering a free security system and one year of free service.
Police not only suspect that the offer is bogus, but that the person behind the deal has sinister motives.
