Radcliff Rotary Club has meeting

Radcliff Rotary Club recently recognized its Student of the Month, Chaffin Blair, a North Hardin senior. Chaffin is an A student, Beta Club member and Eagle Scout. He is hoping for an appointment to the U.S. Air Force Academy. He was presented with a Walmart gift certificate by Club President Dr. Gail Phoenix.

Guest speaker in the Know your Rotarian series was Len Casey. Casey related the outline of his life story which surrounds the military. With three combat tours in Korea and Vietnam, he told of a number of near death experiences that changed his life. After retiring from the Army, he worked many years in the banking industry and is active in his church and many other community organizations.

Casey personifies the Rotary motto, “Service above self,” always ready to volunteer to help on service projects or fund raisers. As a boy growing up at Fort Knox during the World War II years, he began to collect military shoulder patches and now boasts a large collection.
