The Radcliff Rotary Club held its annual speech contest at Colvin Community Center. This year’s speech theme was “Peace through Service.” All high school age students were invited to participate by delivering a 5 to 8 minute speech on this topic without notes to club members. Winners, pictured with club president Gail Phoenix, are first place Robert Bell, second place Mollie Knight and third place Christina Rice, all of Fort Knox High School. First second and third place wins a $300, $200 and $100 check respectively and Robert Bell goes on to the sectional level event, where the competition and potential winnings increase. There are four levels of competition, the local club, sectional, regional and district. The winner of all 4 will accumulate cash prises of $2,200.
