Anne Aubrey, Pat Nuccitelli, Maria Batistoni, Becky Brecht and Florence Mason of the Radcliff Woman’s Club, attended the 116th annual convention of the Kentucky Federation of Women’s Clubs on April 15-16 in Louisville. The theme of the convention was a “World of Harmony.”
The convention opening ceremonies began with of the posting of colors by the all female drill team from Fern Creek High School and a welcome from the mayor’s office.
Following the American Red Cross luncheon whose speaker was Sue Richter of the Mid-East division of the Red Cross, several awards were given. Awards won by the Radcliff Woman’s Club were: first place - press book, media book, Home Life (Partnership), Public Issues (Collaboration), and 2nd place - International Outreach (Collaboration). Student awards won were: Leilani Hunter, 2nd place, photography; and Kelly Conklin, 2nd place, sculpture. The club was also awarded the 105 percent scorecard for meeting numerous requirements suggested by the federation.
Special recognition was given to Batistoni who won the Junior Club Kentucky theme basket featuring tickets to some Kentucky attractions, Kentucky foods and Derby paraphernalia.
