The Radcliff Woman’s Club, together with the Alzheimer’s Association, hosted a Christmas in July event July 27 at Colvin Community Center. The event consisted of three major activities. Attendees could visit more than 25 vendors to purchase items for their Christmas giving, including jewelry, scarves, wreaths, scented candles, hair bows and other items.

A holiday feast was served in the lower level of the community center. A $5 meal ticket included ham, turkey, dressing, stuffed shells, potato salad tossed salad and a variety of casserole dishes. The dessert included an assortment of cheesecake, pies, cupcakes and cakes.

Following the meal, an auction ensued, with items such as a beverage dispenser, Christmas decorations, pecan pies, an antique chair, a hand-painted table, and numerous crystal ware.

Maria Batistoni, the event coordinator, made sure the public was notified about the event by placing ads and news items in the printed media, distributed and displayed flyers in public places and placed a banner along a busy intersection

The Radcliff Woman’s Club will use the money it generated from this event to help assist in causes it supports such as SpringHaven Domestic Center, Hardin County Schools and the Hardin County Public Library.
