Relocation redux: Fiscal Court to cast another vote on Ring Road move

Attorney alleges county violated open meetings procedures

By Marty Finley

Hardin Fiscal Court will cast a direct vote Tuesday on relocating county offices from downtown Elizabethtown to property near Ring Road after an attorney accused county officials of violating open meetings regulations.

In a letter he delivered Thursday to county government, Ben Humphries claims Fiscal Court did not provide proper notice of a time change for its Feb. 26 voting meeting, which moved from 3:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. so officials could attend a memorial service for longtime Planning Director Chris Hunsinger.
