ISSUE: Community champion dies
OUR VIEW: Nelson Kelley leaves a worthy legacy
Nelson Kelley was a mentor and a servant.
A longtime educator, he spent much of his life helping children. As those who knew him well said he was not only teaching children, but working for them, helping them build better lives for themselves in and out of the school building.
He was a servant to the community at large, too, having dedicated himself to the United Way of Central Kentucky and its cause.
