Elizabethtown City Council voted 3-1 Monday to rezone around 10 acres at 951 Nicholas St. from Residential-3 to Residential-6, a multi-family zone.
The vote allows Rineyville contractor Shawn Goff to move forward on a plan to develop a residential storage complex with about 190 units on the property, which sits near Elizabethtown Public Works and homes in Winding Springs subdivision. Goff still will have to obtain a permit and have his plans approved by the planning commission, according to Planning Director Ed Poppe.
