Mildred Richardson of Tacoma, Wash., will celebrate her 90th birthday at 3 p.m. today, March 17, 2013, at Bristol Café in Louisville with her family and friends.
Born March 17, 1923, in Big Sandy, Texas, she is an advocate for educating youth in America. She graduated from Jarvis Christian College in Gilmer, Texas, in 1945 with a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education and retired from the Tacoma Washington School District. She is a true servant of God and has been an active member of her church, Mile Memorial CME in Tacoma, for 63 years. She serves on the Stewardess Board and is chairwoman for the Women’s Day program, 2010 Women Rock.
She has two children, Sharon Brinkley of Radcliff and Thelford Jenkins of Tacoma; and one grandchild.
