RINEYVILLE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. This week’s birthdays include Brandon Lindsey and Kaylie Shreve today; Brandon Marini and T.J. Walters on Wednesday; Matthew West on Thursday; and Autumn Cunningham and Autumn Dukes on Friday.

KINDERGARTEN AND PRESCHOOL REGISTRATION. Hardin County Schools will hold registration for next school year for kindergarten and preschool on April 12. Children five years old by Oct. 1 qualify for kindergarten. If your child will be four years old by Oct. 1, they might qualify for preschool. Rineyville Elementary’s registration is from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Check with the elementary school in your area to be sure of its times.

HELP WANTED. Anyone interested in working the concession stand at Rineyville Community Park or being an umpire for spring and summer, contact Mike Colasanti, 268-3042.

GOLF SCRAMBLE. Relay for Life Team “Good Clear Will” annual Golf Scramble is April 27 at Lincoln Trail Country Club in Vine Grove. There will be a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Deadline for registration is April 24. Call Tina Yates, 737-6628 or 766-4367 for information.

FUNDRAISER. Rineyville Elementary School is holding a basketball game and raffle April 12 to raise money to build a bridge to connect the school to the community park. Currently, students must walk on the road to reach the park. The Rineyville Fire Department will play the Rineyville School staff at the 7 p.m. game. At halftime, there will be activities to include special shooting contest, etc. If you would like to donate an item for the raffle or money, please contact John, 312-1628.

CHURCH NEWS. The Ridge Spring United Methodist youth meeting is at 6 p.m. April 7, at the church. All youth in junior and senior high school are invited to come. There are fun games and other activities to enjoy. There always is some good food to pig out on. The church is located on Hwy. 220, about three miles from General Dollar.

BIRTH. Congratulations to Rondale and Alison Langley on the March 23 birth of their daughters, Jenna Ellen, 5 pounds, 14 ounces, and Elizabeth Ann, 6 pounds, 1 ounce. Both girls were 19 inches long.
