RINEYVILLE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. This week’s birthdays include Jessica Goldhardt today; Arianna Brown and Kaelyn Brakebill on Monday; Larkin Taylor on Tuesday; Luke Chadbourne-Taylor, Martina Rogers and Nathaniel Gayfield on Wednesday; Kylie Croley, Tremai Carr and Adien McKnight on Thursday; and Kaden Smith on Friday.

AWARD. Congratulations to David Kuhn on being named Kentucky Conservation Officer of the year.

YOUTH GROUP. Ridge Spring United Methodist Church will begin youth group meetings at 6 p.m. the first Sunday of each month beginning Feb. 3 at the church. This is open for all youth in junior high through high school. The church is located on Hwy. 220, about three miles from the Dollar General Store. For information, contact Margie Atcher at 862-4806.

FISH FRYS. During the Lenten season, St. John Church and Vine Grove Knights of Columbus will alternate Fridays for their Fish Frys. St. John’s dates are Feb. 15, March 1 and March 15 from 5 to 7 p.m. The Knights of Columbus will hold theirs Feb. 22, March. 8 and March 22. I will post their time as soon as I get verification.

APPRECIATION. The Jan, 18 Brooklyn Disselkamp fundraiser at St. John Church was a huge success. Thanks to all who were a part of this. The money raised will help the family financially and all the prayers will help even more.
