RINEYVILLE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. This week’s birthdays include: Brendan Johnson on Monday; Trevor Jaggers and Ross Bishop on Wednesday; Emma Pittman on Friday; and Eddie Ghelardini, Sophie Ghelardini, Rylee Eikenberry and Cody Comer-Whitlock on Saturday.

YOUTH GROUP. Ridge Spring United Methodist Church will begin youth group meetings on the first Sunday of each month beginning at 6 p.m. tonight at the church. This is open for all youth in junior high through high school. The church is located on Hwy. 220, about three miles from the Dollar General store. For information, contact Margie Atcher, 862-4806.

FISH FRYS. During the Lenten season, St. John Church and Vine Grove Knights of Columbus will alternate Fridays for the fish frys. St. John’s dates from 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 15, March 1 and 15. The Knights of Columbus will have them from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Feb. 22, March 8 and 22.

BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL SIGN UPS. Rineyville Community Park will hold its summer baseball and softball signups from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. each Saturday in February at the park building. This is for children ages 5 to 15 years old. For questions, contact Mike, 268-3042, or email mccolasanti@yahoo.com.
