Rineyville Homemakers eat at Golden Corral where many different foods are served that originated from different countries to celebrate their designation of February as International Month. Rineyville Homemakers meet at 7 p.m. the fourth Tuesday of each month in the St. John Community Building.

RINEYVILLE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. This week’s birthdays include Marcus Washington and Grace Sedgwick today; Sydney Clark on Monday; Thor Newsome and RyLeigh Crank on Tuesday; Alanna Livingston and Xavier Domenech on Wednesday; Dalton Smith and Evan Bradham on Thursday; Rebecca Mahlum and James Mears on Friday; and Camron Smith and Reece Connell on Saturday.

KINDERGARTEN AND PRESCHOOL REGISTRATION. On April 12, all Hardin County Schools will hold registration for next school year for kindergarten and preschool. Children five years old by Oct. 1 qualify for kindergarten. If your child will be four years old by Oct. 1, they might qualify for preschool. Rineyville Elementary’s registration is from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Check with the elementary school in your area to be sure of theirtimes.

FISH FRYS. St. John Church’s last fish fry is from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday. The Knights of Columbus will hold its last one from 4:30 to 7 p.m. March 22.

GOLD SCRAMBLE. The Relay for Life Team “Good Clear Will” annual golf scramble is April 27 at Lincoln Trail Country Club in Vine Grove. There will be a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Deadline for registration is April 24. Call Tina Yates at 737-6628 or 766-4367 for information.

FUNDRAISER. Rineyville Elementary School is holding a basketball game and raffle April 12 to raise money to build a bridge to connect the school to the community park. Currently, students must walk on the road to reach the park. The Rineyville Fire Department will play the Rineyville School staff at the 7 p.m. game. At halftime, there will be activities to include a special shooting contest, etc. If you would like to donate an item for the raffle or money, please contact John, 312-1628.
