Rineyville Elementary will hold their annual “Back to School” Rally from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, July 31. At 5:45 p.m. the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new playground will take place. This is a great time to meet teachers, take care of lunch, get bus information and take a look at the new school. The Family Resource Center has community service members coming to share opportunities they have available. Also any new students not registered can do so at this time. SCHOOL REGISTRATION. Hardin County Schools will hold registration for all students new to the system on Thursday and Friday. Please go to your district school to register. If you are unsure what school your student(s) will attend, check with the Hardin County Board of Education at 769-8800. Rineyville Elementary School’s new office should be completed. If not, we will still be at the school from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on both days the sign up new students. Call 737-7371 for information. BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL. On Aug. 16, Rineyville Community Park will host the 2nd Annual Bluegrass Festival. There will be five professional bands to entertain and delight you and your family for 10 hours starting at noon and ending at 10 p.m. A Bluegrass Festival is family oriented. You will hear great music and clean comedy. Come and join the fun and support your community. The cost is $15 for adults; children under 12 are free when accompanied by an adult. Proceeds benefit park programs. RINEYVILLE COMMUNITY PARK. The next meeting is 7 p.m. July 28 at the Park. All are invited to attend. DOG TRAINING. On Aug. 2 and 3 the All Miniature Pinscher Service Dog Rescue is hosting a dog training/behavior seminar with Master Dog Trainer and behaviorist Sam Malatesta. The Canadian has been touring the United States for the past several years helping rescuers rehabilitate dogs that have been traumatized by abuse, neglect, puppy mill dogs, as well as common failed behaviors of household pets. If you own or foster a dog that suffers from aggression or shyness, this is an event you don’t want to miss!
