RODEO: LaRue's Stephens wins state championship (6/19)

By CHUCK JONES cjones@thenewsenterprise.com HODGENVILLE – The third time proved to be the charm for LaRue County’s Cody Stephens. After finishing second the past two years, Stephens, a senior-to-be at LaRue County High School, won the Wrangler Bareback Championship at the Kentucky High School Finals Rodeo in Liberty over the weekend. “I pretty much knew I had it, but I’m happy,” Stephens said. It was remarkable that Stephens was even able to compete in the finals.
