Ronald Lee Wheeler

Ronald Lee Wheeler, 64, of Vine Grove, died Thursday, March 29, 2012, at Hardin Memorial Hospital.

He was a native of Mount Washington and was a fire instructor at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College. He was an EMS instructor, a volunteer firefighter with Central Hardin Fire Department and Kentucky 86 Fire Department. He was an EMS worker in LaRue County and Fort Knox, a corrections officer in LaGrange and a deputy sheriff in Meade County.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie Woodrow and Mary Catherine Aeillo Wheeler; a brother, Woody Wheeler; and a sister, Mary Dunn.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Akin Wheeler; one brother, Michael Wheeler of Cecilia; two sisters, Debby Buster and Susie Snawder, both of Shepherdsville; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was Sunday at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with Woody Will officiating.
