Elizabethtown resident Tony Rose has a different perspective than most on the 10th anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001, terrorists attacks on America.
On that ill-fated Tuesday morning as he and many co-workers planned a retirement party for a fellow employee at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., American Airlines Flight 77, at a speed of 500 miles an hour, smashed into the Pentagon.
About 200 people were killed at the Pentagon that day, including friends and co-workers of Rose’s, who then served as a U.S. Army sergeant major.
