RPD probing theater break-in

Showtime Cinemas in Radcliff is temporarily closed as the movie theater recovers from an overnight break-in.

Bryce Shumate, spokesman for Radcliff Police Department, said RPD is investigating the burglary, which occurred late Tuesday or early Wednesday morning.

According to police and theater employees, only food items were stolen but significant damage was done to the property.

Though no windows or doors were broken, Shumate said the suspects took the theater’s fire extinguishers and sprayed them all over the building.
