Ryan Woodruff was presented with the Eagle Scout Award on April 26, 2008, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Elizabethtown. He is an active member of Troop 668, where he earned 62 merit badges, held numerous leadership positions and is a member of the Order of the Arrow. For his Eagle project, Ryan led a group of scouts and adults to build a bridge at Saunder’s Springs Nature Preserve in Radcliff. The bridge connects and completes the lake trail that surrounds the reservoir. Approximately 60 hours of planning, consulting and manual work went into completing the project. Ryan is a junior at John Hardin High School and after graduation, he plans to attend a university where he can pursue international diplomacy and business. He is the son of Chris and Debra Wall of Vine Grove and Troy Woodruff of Louisville; and the grandson of Jim and Carol Woodruff of Elizabethtown and Harry and Barbara Connor of Guston.
