Traffic safety evaluations by the sheriff’s office will be held on Hardin County roadways over the next few months.
According to a Hardin County Sheriff’s Office news release, the safety checks most often will be held at night when impaired driving traffic is at a maximum. Officers also may initiate checkpoints at other times and places during the month.
The primary focus of the safety checks is to reduce the incidence of drug- and alcohol-impaired drivers on roadways. Officers also will check for child safety seats and seat belt use.
