Snow is forecast for Friday night and early Christmas morning.
Kevin McCormick, a meteorologist at Fort Knox’s weather station, said he expects a couple of inches to accumulate.
The snow and cold temperatures will be enough to slicken roads.
A low pressure system will form over the Rocky Mountains and combine with moisture from the Gulf of Mexico.
