A commercial saw mill in southern Hardin County will continue its operations.
The Hardin County Planning and Development Commission this week approved a zone change from rural residential to agricultural for more than 40 acres of farmland on New Glendale Road west of Sonora, which qualified the mill for a conditional use permit if the commission granted one.
Amish resident Albert Miller and Cecilia area logger Dean Pence filed the application to legally continue work at the saw mill, which fashions timber into barrel staves Pence provides to Brown-Forman in Louisville.
