Greenspace President Aaron Rucker, right center, presents Jan Schmidt with a certificate of appreciation for her donation to Greenspace Inc., in memory of her husband, Bill Schmidt. Also pictured on either side are Ed and Mary Sprague. The Sprague’s founded the organization more than 40 years ago. Because of their hard work and planning and the support of residents like Jan and Bill Schmidt, more than 20 miles of free hiking trails are available along the riparian streams in the Hardin County area.
Publicity Chair Lori Timbers puts the finishing touches on Greenspace’s Bill Schmidt Kiosk. This Kiosk has been dedicated to Bill Schmidt, an early supporter of Greenspace. He believed in providing free greenbelt hiking trails for the benefit of local residents. In memory of his gift, this kiosk was erected at Haycraft Mill Park across from the Elizabethtown Justice Center. More photos of GreenspacekKiosks can be seen on the Greenspace Facebook Page.
