Come spring, local school districts will not see a spring-like blooming in their coffers.
The main source of state funding for public school districts, the Support Education Excellence in Kentucky fund, is lacking about $49.3 million to sufficiently cover the needs of the schools, which means the districts, including Hardin County Schools and Elizabethtown Independent Schools, will not receive the full amount of SEEK funding due to them this year.
