Beginning Monday, a stretch of Valley Creek Road in Elizabethtown will close for three weeks while construction workers begin replacing a stormwater culvert.
According to a statement from city government, the roadway will be shut down from Hodgenville Road to Hawkins Drive. Detours will be set up along nearby streets, including Hodgenville Road, Hawkins Drive and Steel Drive.
Weather delays could alter the estimated three-week completion time, city officials said, and drivers are advised to allot extra time to reach their destination when traveling in the area.
